Need Prayers for the NICU at Egleston

2009 was supposed to be a GOOD year, what happened? I hope everything starts to turn around in a good way for everyone as of right now 4/29! Lauren one of Joseph's favorite nurses just emailed me with more terrible news :(
Terri Wade one of the nuses at the NICU at CHOA-Egleston passed away. Terri was merely having headaches two weeks ago and went to the doctor to get some medicine. The next thing they know is that Terri's being taken to have brain surgery. Unfortunately, her body was just not strong enough to recover and yesterday she went to heaven with all the NICU babies that have passed including Joseph. Please keep Terri's family and the entire staff at the NICU at Egleston in your prayers.

Terri:

2009 people that passed away "related to me/that I know": (Yes, I made a list)

1- Our beautiful son Joseph, we will miss you forever!
2- Ryann (CDH baby)
3-Addison (CDH baby)
4- Maxton (CDH baby)
5- Kaden (CDH baby)
6- Skylar's Grandfather (passed a few days after Joseph)
7- Clyde's Grandmother (a friend)
8- Terri (nurse at the NICU)
9- My mom's co-workers sister
10 - Father Mendez
11- 2 of my grandma's friends
and the list goes on...

I know we haven't posted in a while I just haven't been very happy with God lately so I didn't want to write something I will regret. I got very upset the other day, when I read the news about a father in WA killing his own 5 children b/c his wife was leaving. I just don't understand why would a person like this gets to have his children while Sky and I and many other parents that just want nothing but to love their kids, have their kids taken away?
Sky and I are doing okay, we still have our days but we are doing a lot better. We have been working non-stop which is helping us. We also decided that we need to start having more family time so we have been going out with the girls a lot. Sky and Aly's new hobby is fishing. Sofia likes to talk very loud and scares the fishes away, so her and I have our fun at the park and eating candy :) while they go fishing. I will post more about how we been doing later.

Thanks again to everyone for your support, prayers, and donations. Also, we will be taking all the items we bought with your donations to the NICU this week and post pics soon. Shopping for baby things and no bay was very hard but something I felt I needed to do.

Hugs,

~ Carla

I'm glad to hear that you and the family are doing okay and staying busy. I think about ya'll everyday. I wish I didn't had to move. I want to be there for you and your family, in person. Maybe when we'll in town, if you guys are up for it, I can come bake some desserts for ya'll. I'm here for you (all the way in nebraska) but if you ever need anyone to talk over the phone, call me.

(((((((((hugs))))))))) to you Carla. It's heartbreaking when someone we love and care about passes away.

I think its great that you have been spending more time with the girls and having family time. I know that Joseph joins all of you on your fishing trip. I always feel closer to my angel in nature.

Hugs to you! I have been thinking of you lately. I am glad to hear that you are doing better and spending time with your beautiful little girls. I really wish that God would let me know why he continues to call so many of the people I/you care for back to heaven. I just continue to move forward and hope that the answer will appear one day!

Also, Jason is almost finished with his photo website. Here is the link www.acordphoto.com. Let me know what you think as a professional.

Lots of Love and hugs,
Marion

Carla and Sky;

Sometimes things do not go the way we want them to go, and countless of times we ask ourselves why us? The answer we don't know it, but is for sure that things happen for a reason. We were very lucky to have Joseph for short time and we know things did not go the way we all expected, we all were very sad for his leave, but now we can appreciate life more. Words cannot tell how much he change my life, he was a very important little person who gave me hope and the ability to see life in other ways, to fight for what I believe is right and will make me happy. I am very glad that you guys are making more family time and sharing with your adorable girls.

Keep strong and keep shooting beautiful pictures!!!

Love;

Santa & Jared

Carla,

I'm so sorry to hear about Terri. Just think, she and Joseph are with each other though. That's a good thing. I know this year has been rough for you. I can only imagine losing all those loved ones in your life. I'm so glad to hear that you're getting out and being active with the girls. I know they love the time with their mommy and daddy.

I think of y'all so often, and wonder how you're doing. I'd love to email you, but I don't have your email address. Can you email me? studdard2@gmail.com...

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Sky and Carla, We have been thinking about you guys alot. Brian and I neither remember Terri from the NICU. We had so many wonderful nurses but we never got to meet Terri. I am sure that she is holding Joseph and giving him lots of love.
Please remember that even when it doesn't feel like it God is with you. We may never understand why things happen the way that they do but God is always with us. It is during the hardest times that we need to lean on him the most.
Sofie and Alyssa are very lucky to have such amazing parents. You both gave us so much hope while we were at Egleston with you.
Love to you all,
Sheree

I am so sorry to read about Terri. You are right, this year was suppose to be a good year, but has not turned out that way. My husband and I think about your family often and are praying for you and of course your beautiful Joseph.

We created a memorial website for our daughter at www.charlieelizabeth-collado.last-memories.com

You are more than welcome to visit. It may also be something you might want to do for Joseph to keep his memory alive and to send him sweet messages.

Love,

Beatriz, Erick, and our angel Charlie Elizabeth

Hello Sky and Carla. I was just stopping by and checking on you all and glad to see you are doing well. It is just heart breaking reading your post of everyone that has passed this year in your life. I wish I was there to give you a big hug. I know what you mean about it not being fair that people like that can have healthy kids and then there is us that provide a happy loving home for kids and they are taken from us!! I think about this almost daily. I am still thinking of you all of the time.

With love,
Jaime, mommy to angel Ryann
