You may never know why this affliction happened to Joseph. I have read the comments to your blog and, to me, it looks like others have been able to glean hope and strength through your words and beautiful photos. You are both such wonderful parents. God specifically chose you to take care of his little angel for a short time, and he always has a resaon maybe it was to be just that - to be a source of strength and a shining visual example of love (and that is what God is love)! My heart aches for you and the loss you have experienced. So often, I hear people say, "You can imagine how they feel" and my answer back is, "NO....no one can understand." I have followed your story...I have cried with you and been amazed at the strength that Joseph had. I have prayed for you as have so many others I know. We will all continue our prayers for you. You have touched so many people around this country by opening your hearts and experiences. We are all here with you. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that so many people care about you. God will give you the strength to get through this tough time. Just remember to let Him help you.

Iam sorry for your loss. Thom called me (3-3-09) to tell me. Joseph was a fighter because his parents are both fighters and strong people.
